An immersive musical performance composed and performed by Daniel Duret
Designed to be performed largely in darkness, The Sound of Things offers a unique sensory experience where music and everyday sounds blend into a poetic and introspective universe.
Each theme lasts about seven minutes. Between them, an old radio turns on and gently guides the audience toward the next scene. These transitions, lasting roughly 90 seconds, are illuminated by a soft, dim light.
About the Performance
Sound effects are fully integrated into the musical composition and are diffused throughout the space using a multichannel audio setup.
On stage, Daniel Duret performs live on piano, interacting with spatialized sounds to create living soundscapes:
the city, the countryside, the ocean, the master of time, childhood, and the strange world of Pandemonium.
