The Sound of Things – Le bruit des choses

Version đŸ‡«đŸ‡· FR

Imagine yourself sitting in a space wrapped in darkness, with only your ears to guide you.
A piano breathes, an old radio crackles—and suddenly, a whole world of sound comes to life.

The Sound of Things is an immersive concert where music and sound design intertwine, creating a new and evocative language.

Everyday noises—the wind, a ticking clock, the distant rumble of a train—are transformed into musical material.

The listener is carried through a series of sonic tableaux: the city, the countryside, the ocean, the master of time, childhood, Pandemonium

On stage, pianist and composer Daniel Duret performs live, in dialogue with spatialized recordings diffused throughout the space.

The performance unfolds in near-total darkness. The absence of light becomes an instrument in itself—sharpening perception and revealing the hidden poetry of sound.

“The Sound of Things invites us to listen differently — to rediscover the beauty of sound, the poetry of the real world, and that silence where everything begins.”

An experience to be lived:

‱ Duration: approximately 1 hour
‱ Black masks provided for total immersion
